Supply Chain Student Organizations
By joining the SCSO, students will automatically become members of ALL Supply Chain Registered Student Organizations (RSO) on campus (TLA, CSCMP, WISE and APICS). A single fee of $75 will cover the whole year.
A new structure for the Supply Chain Student Organizations begins in the fall semester of 2015. Our advisors and student leaders created an “umbrella” organization called the Supply Chain Student Organization (SCSO).
Membership in these organizations is a tremendous value for any student interested in Supply Chain Management. It provides access to many company executives in Supply Chain careers and helps students navigate through the numerous career opportunities that are available in the field. Additionally, it provides leadership opportunities as each of the three organizations have their own slate of officers and is responsible for planning events and activities that will enhance the Supply Chain education obtained at the Walton College.
CSCMP– The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals is an international organization that gives student members access to all of the resources on their website. Great way to stay current on industry developments, networking and the job market. Students participating in SCSO covers student membership fees
TLA - The Transportation and Logistics Association is an on campus organization that focuses more on local supply chain activities’ and tours of local facilities such as the Walmart Distribution Center in Bentonville.
WISE - Women Impacting Supply Excellence is a student driven organization that is sponsored by the Supply Chain Management Research Center at Walton College. The organization connects students to female supply chain executives in NWA. This career based knowledge is helpful to both male and female students.
APICS—American Production and Inventory Control Society is a global network of supply chain and operations management professionals and resources to help you get started in your career. Get access to the latest research, publications and thought leaders who continue to shape our industry. APICS members are dedicated to elevating their fields and educating future supply chain leaders, like yourself. (Pending RSO approval)
