In Support of Students, Industry, and Faculty

The SCMRC connects students, industry and faculty through internships, workshops, conferences and more. Industry leaders work with faculty to enhance classroom tools, curricula and research. In turn, faculty invite industry leaders to speak at events or in-class lectures. Students also enjoy internships and networking events.

Through these connections, students  learn skills that are most relevant in the ever-growing supply chain field, while industry meets top students through recruitment and mentoring opportunities.

2017 China Logistics Insights Report

Comparing the macro-economic data of Chinese and American transportation volume and inventory costs, the 2017 China Logistics Insights Report reviews each country's detailed logistics costs as a percentage of GDP. Our findings provide:

  1. a comparison of the domestic China economy with the same cost details which resides in the US report, State of Logistics Report,
  2. insights on the differences, and
  3. insights on logistics trends and an outlook for the future.

This year's report focuses on e-commerce logistics trends.

The research project was written by a collaborative team from the Development & Research Center of the State Post Bureau which resides in the Chinese Ministry of Transportation, Cainiao Smart Logistics Network Limited (an Alibaba affiliate), and the Supply Chain Management Research Center which resides in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.

To receive a digital copy of the report, email John Kent, director of the Supply Chain Management Research Center, along with your name and company affiliation.
